The whole lot was sold to one fellow, and IMO he paid fairly for them such that all involved parties will be happy. Ironically, he is from out there in the "lake states", we'll let him remain anonymous for the time being. The components are a bit mixed, all original 515's, some labeled IPC, all have pristine original cones w/matching cone numbers. There were 3 tar filled 1005's, a tar filled 805, a tar coated 1005, and a 511 with an 802 on it, 4 288B's, 2 N500-C's, 3 500hz IPC networks, a spare pair of 515's, and a few 412 bi-flex's in wall boxes.

Do you have any wings for these Bowtie ?
I asked about wings, there was no sign of them, they were likely scrounged for the wood. The two cabinets that were scrapped for the plywood actually went into building a small stage in the theater. So, in a sense those cabinets will remain on duty serving some sort of function, and be part of that theater for some time to come.

Sounds like he is going to do OK in the long run, and likely keep a nice set of drivers for free when the others get gone. Damn, if I'da known what was in them, I'da considered making a play for them myself....Think that one is gonna fit in my van?

Nice score Bowtie--so that lot was also in the thread at LH that I posted the link to here. Wonder who this mystery man is in the "lake states". Is he bigger than a bread box?

I don't think he hangs here, but his is a regular over at AK. We may wind up seeing more of him in the future...

You know, that box may stand up between my gear stands right in the middle of my set up, some thing the W's could never do. I have a new pair of UREI 604s coming. Wonder how they'd sound loaded in that box????

Picture Vito and Sal in that old Midas Muffler commercial "we'll make it fit".

If push came to shove, it could be carefully disassembled, and reassembled when you got it home.

They're not complicated, just freakin HUGE!

Could it be (padded and) tied/winched to the roof of a van? Planning the drive for a dry weather day and keeping it under 90 mph?

He's very excited. But, i want to let him post about them on AK first, that's why this thread is the only place i've made any mention. This is his prize, i'm just hangin on the shirttails of it. He's put a lot of work into this haul, made a lengthy drive, and made a point of treating everyone very fairly along the way.

LOL it's actually an astro/safari van, and i think it'd likely cave the roof in. These weigh well over 300 lbs each, are 84 inches tall, 32-1/2 inches wide, and 40 inches deep. I can't imagine what just the added wind resistance would do for the handling and fuel economy, and the torn rotator cuff and herniated disc from hefting it up there wouldn't be much fun either.

Well, if you want to make an omelette, you have to break a few vans. I think I'd get whiplash if I was driving and saw one of those things strapped to the top of someone's vehicle--can you imagine? Would make one helluva video.... Guess the disassembly plan makes a lot more sense....
